Too Early Breakdown: Super Rematch

I do a lot of shit talking on these Thursday night games and they don’t really deserve it. A lot of times these games end up being way better than we all thought they would be. It just seems like there’s always a team that’s in jeopardy of being blown out or it’s a couple of bad teams that’ll lay a turd out there. The games have been ending up being entertaining and as a man of integrity, I would like to apologize for ragging on Thursday Night football games.

and I’ll do that next week, BECAUSE THIS THURSDAY NIGHT GAME SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS

Producer 1: “Hey Here’s a cool idea. Let’s do a rematch of Super Bowl LI as a stand-alone game.”

Producer 2: “But there are no players left from those teams except for the losing Quarterback, and he’s just a shell of himself. Is that a good idea?”

Producer 1: “I’ve been sleeping with your wife, Kevin. If you challenge me again, I’ll ruin your kids’ lives too.”

Whatever. This is gonna be a blowout.

Patriots @ Falcons

Patriots -6.5, O/U 47.0

Hey, the Patriots are a good team and the Falcons are not. That’s all there is to this game. If I can lay less than a touch down to the Falcons, then I am going to. There is nothing scary about the Falcons except the apparent existential dread and emotional unwellness that comes with being part of the team.

This seems like the kind of game that Mac Jones has 3 or 4 3-and-outs to start the game and then they never punt again.
