Too Early Breakdown: Invite Your Receivers to your Ayahuasca Retreats

‘22-’23 Record: 17-18

My fraternity house was haunted in college. I wasn’t too bad or anything, she didn’t fuck with us a lot. Mostly like ringing the doorbell late at night, knocking shit off of shelves, slamming doors, and things like that.

I understand that that just sounds like it could just be a bunch of drunk dudes doing those things who don’t have the situational awareness to know that it was just another alive person, and maybe some of it was, but I mentioned the doorbell thing first because that was the most predominant one.

It snowed one day, and then that night the doorbell kept ringing and there were no footsteps in the snow.

It had to be the ghost. No other explanation.

Also, if I’m the ghost of a gal who killed herself, I would be super pissed that the people who live in my house desecrated it in the ways we did, but she was chill.

Broncos @ Jags @ London (Jags -2.5, O/U 40.5)

Denver is 1-6 to the Over by a margin of -12.6 points. They are a straight-up garbage pail team.

The Jags are 4-3 to the Over, but they’ve been getting that record carried by other teams (Margin of -1.79).

Denver’s defense is one of the biggest reasons that they’ve been so dominant on going under and I can’t imagine why they’d stop dick-stomping offenses given they’re playing against a very bad Trevor Lawrence with a bunch of very mid receivers.

This is an easy one for me.

Raiders @ Saints (Raiders -1.5. O/U 49.5)

Andy Dalton should fix everything for the Saints, right?

It’s not like he’s prone to throwing interceptions that are equal parts backbreaking, hilarious, and terrible.

I have no idea what Dennis Allen is thinking by benching Jameis. At least he has the upside of big throws with his risk of interceptions. Dalton is just a huge bummer to watch with no upside.

The Raiders are rolling right now. Josh Jacobs is doing everything to make all of the money with a new contract. Devante Adams is playing like Devante Adams. Derek Carr isn’t making terrible mistakes. The Raiders’ defense is making the right plays at the right time. The line should be Raiders -4. Give me the Raiders.

Raiders -1.5

49ers @ Rams (PK, O/U 42)

I wish I was more excited for this game. I really do. But here we are with two bad offenses and two pretty okay defenses. When they played each other 4 weeks ago the Niners absolutely demolished the Rams in a 24-9 win.

It’s two teams that know each other well and it seems like every time they play it’s a grind.

Deebo is out. Garoppolo is mid. Plays drawn up for CMC are going to take away from big throws to Aiyuk. Stafford might be racist and is showing that he’s hurt, or worse… that he’s washed.

A game where defenses are much much better than their struggling offenses? A total over 40?

There’s really only one play here.

Packers @ Bills (Bills -10.5, O/U 47)

This line cannot be big enough for me and it has actually gone down, which is confusing.

Josh Allen is 10-4 in Primetime games. Aaron Rodgers is melting down in a heartwarming fashion and just went on the Pat McAfee show this week and blamed everyone but himself for how bad they’ve been playing.

I understand that he doesn’t want to try to connect with his receivers on a personal level because he’s a jaded old fuck, but he could’ve at least extended an invitation for them to come with him on his Ayahuasca retreats during the off-season.

The only thing that the Packers have going for them is their bad run game, and the Bills are only allowing 79 rushing yards per game.

The Green Bay defense has been bad too. They’re allowing 322 yards per game and that's been against Kirk Cousins, Justin Fields, Tom Brady, Mac Jones, Daniel Jones, Zach Wilson, and Taylor Heinicke. Not exactly a murders row. Josh Allen is going to thoroughly destroy them and probably get put on the bench in the 4th quarter.

Bills -10.5
